The 2Fast Lead-Follow Session:
100 Relaxed Level

FIRST SESSION OF THE DAY AT:

9:40AM

is reserved exclusively
for lead-follow riding

AND SETS THE TONE FOR EVERYTHING THAT FOLLOWS

Why We Call It "Relaxed"

Back in 2003, when 2Fast was getting started, every trackday company called their entry-level group the "Beginner" session. We never loved that label. Almost nobody showing up to a trackday is a true beginner, they've got street miles, they know how to ride, they just haven't been on a closed course before. Calling them a beginner felt like the wrong foot to start on.

So we changed it. We named it the Relaxed group, because that's the actual goal, not a skill level, but a mindset. No racers, no wanna-be racers. Just riders who want to have a great time at the track, feel completely comfortable doing it, and carry that easy, playful energy through the entire day.

We've been doing it that way ever since, and we're proud to say 2Fast was the first to make that call.

How the Lead-Follow Session Works

To protect that relaxed mindset from the very first lap, the 9:40am Relaxed session runs as lead-follow only. Here's what that means in practice:

  • You'll be placed in a small group of 3 to 5 riders, led by one of our Marshalls or Instructors
  • Your group circulates the track together at a controlled, easy pace, no pressure, no chasing
  • All of our staff ride with mirrors and will match your pace. If we're still going too fast, we slow down more. Simple as that
  • The session runs the full 20 minutes, giving you time to start reading the track, understanding its flow, and finding your comfort zone
  • The only movement between groups happens when a Marshall or Instructor decides conditions are right to allow a group change on a straight, and that call always comes from them, never from you

Why It Works

People learn better when they aren't stressed. That's not a trackday philosophy, that's just how the brain works. When you're relaxed, you retain more, you see more, and you build confidence that actually sticks. The lead-follow format exists to put you in that state from the moment the session goes hot.

The feedback over the last two years has been overwhelmingly positive, especially from riders who are new or returning to track riding after some time away.

This is the 2Fast approach, making the track feel welcoming, fun, and safe, one session at a time.

We're not trying to set lap times in this session. We're trying to give you a clean, stress-free look at the track so that everything that comes after feels familiar rather than daunting.
